kikin Engineering
kikin engineers work on a variety of hard problems (semantic indexing, named entity recognition,
federated search, behavioral profiling, latency reduction, etc.). We work in several programming
languages to best solve each problem (Java, JavaScript, C++, Objective-C); and by leveraging several
programs and markups (Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, SVG), we design and build elegant user interfaces.
Our application spans a user's domain (iOS and mobile applications); reaches our servers and CDNs; and
extends to third party APIs (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Amazon).
Responsibilities
- Design and build an ETL layer to retrieve and analyze log file data
- Provide dynamic back-end storage and retrieval system
- Provide accurate business metrics and deliver custom data sets for research, sales, and product management groups
- Manage large data sets in a data warehouse federation environment
- Daily maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, trouble shooting, problem resolution, data recovery
- Present and future capacity planning for required system resources

Qualifications

- Strong overall database ETL experience and statistical capabilities a must
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining data warehouses
- Experience developing extraction, analytic and reporting applications that based on heterogeneous data sources
- Create complex reports (e.g. dashboards, drill down reports, etc.) using cursors and multi-dimensional data objects
- Develop complex SQL queries (e.g. using various joins and sub-queries) and stored procedures
- Experience with Hadoop / Hive / Jasper / Pentaho a plus

- Install, Deploy, Configure, Test, Monitor, Troubleshoot, and Maintain third-party and proprietary servers, networks, production systems and applications
- Provide 24x7x365 Tier A support

Responsibilities
kikin is searching for a User Interface Designer to work directly on the user interface design. You will also be responsible for creating working product mock-ups for our key clients and partners that demonstrate kikin's custom product capabilities.
Our user interface designer will help us fulfill our mission of making it SIMPLE to navigate the web. This person will be the leader when it comes to making this process much easier than it is today. You will be asked to create beautiful designs that are obvious to our users. This isn't going to be a run of the mill HTML and CSS job - we're looking for someone that is going to dig in and create an experience that makes our web platform legendary. You'll be running the UI show which will include: brainstorming design and usability options, building simple wire frames, deliver clean, elegant HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We have ideas for how our features might look good--you know how to design them so we get unsolicited calls about how amazing the site is.

Qualifications

Description
kikin is searching for a Engineering Evangelist to help spread EasySearch. kikin is reaching out to two different groups,
publishers/media companies and app developers. The Engineering Evangelist will focus on app developers. It will be your job to contact these people, sell them, and help them add EasySearch to their apps.
Responsibilities
- Locate and pitch to high-quality prospects (app developers) through both kikin resources and individual research
and targeted cold-calling
- Execute day-to-day call cycle management and client management
- Track results and communicate forecasts on a weekly basis
